Bats and Roadside Mammals survey for the Bristol area. This is the survey where a route is driven with a dectector out the car window and a timed record is made of the route on a GPS. The detector recording is then analsyed for bat calls and the time the call occurs can be matched back to the GPS data - giving a position for the record. More Information as it decomes available but the first survay will be this month. Just to prove we're not totally bat biased other mammals are also recorded duringthe survay. A PDF file with more Information on the protocol for this survey and the 2006 results can be found on the BCT Website.
